Balkan Star is a company of the Willi Betz Group. The company entered the automotive sector in Bulgaria in 1992 as a general distributor for Mecedes-Benz. The operations of Balkan Star after Bulgaria joined the European Union in 2007 are divided into two distribution levels – wholesale and retail. Thus led to restructuring into the following new companies: Balkan Star Automotive Ltd, Balkan Star Motors Ltd, Balkan Star Remarketing Ltd and Balkan Star Retail Ltd.
Balkan Star Automotive is the official representative of Daimler AG. As of June 2009 ã. the company is managed by Manfred Multz, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Plamen Mitev, CEO and Chairman of the Board and Katja Bojanova, Member of the Board and Executive Director, sales Passenger cars.
Balkan Star Motors represents Mitsubishi Motors Europe B.V. (ÌÌÅ) in Bulgaria. The company is managed by Plamen Mitev and Orlin Mladenov. The company deals with the sales and marketing of Mitsubishi passenger cars, spare parts and accessories, as well as with various scheme for financing the purchase of new vehicles.
Balkan Star Remarketing Ltd offers its customers a comprehensive selection of used passenger cars and light-and heavy-duty trucks. The company offers also the full range of services of the Balkan Star group – after-sales services, buy-back options and various forms of financing. Balkan Star Remarketing is managed by Plamen Mitev, and Elitza Mladenova, Sales Manager Used Passanger Cars and Branimir Matov, Sales Manager Used Commercial Vehicles.
Balkan Star Retail is the company responsible for the sales of new vehicles and after sales services to direct customers on the territory of the whole country. The company is managed by Manfred Multz and Plamen Mitev. Balkan Star Retail has own dealer structures in the country: in Sofia, managed by Phillip Kittoff, Plovdiv, where manager is Plamen Ganev, Varna – Dimcho Raichev and Bourgas – Georgi Georgiev.
